My Students
I teach at a Title I school. We have a student population of low income families. These students face many struggles in and out of the classroom. I want to provide Reading Lessons that are beneficial to my students and will help them pass the FSA.
My students have faced difficulties in their 3 years of elementary school, yet they still show up every single day at my door.
These students are stronger, more creative, and determined to excell in their grade than I could ever hope for. Who would venture to say that, due to their low socioeconomic status and at times difficult home lives, they don't deserve the world? My hope is to inspire them the way they inspire me so that they want to continue learning, and will one day achieve the academic excellence that I know every single one of them is capable of.
My Project
These books will be used in the classroom to teach students the different standards that are required for them to pass the FSA. At our school, we don't have a strong reading program so teachers have to supplement in order for the students to receive the proper elements that are required of them to pass the FSA and Third Grade. Different standards will be taught from each individual book and lessons will be developed to aide the students in gaining more knowledge of what the FSA requires of them.
Everyday that students walk through the door to my classroom, they are eager to learn and self motivated to get done what ever is asked of them.
These books will aide in the instruction that the students so desire in their endeavors to pass the FSA and Third Grade.
