Rooted in Reading Needs Books

My students need the books to accompany our Rooted in Reading first grade curriculum. Each week we will focus our vocabulary, spelling, phonemic work, comprehension, writing, and activities around a book of the week!

My Students

My students are a vibrant, eager, and diverse community of First Grade scholars! Each student is ready to learn more and more each day - our classroom growth mentality is energized. It is a great privilege to be these scholars' teacher and a role I take very seriously, which is why I am asking for help to obtain the books that my students need. I want my students to have the world of reading at their fingertips! I am excited about the varied interests of each student and I know books are a beautiful way to pique their intrigue and expand learning!

This classroom community of scholars will soar this year as we take on all kinds of literacy adventures in learning!

My Project

I will be following the Rooted in Reading Curriculum that offers amazing in depth supplemental reading units each week that will make our learning more robust! With a single book we will have phonics work, spelling, vocabulary, writing, crafting, research - you name it! Taking time to really spend extended time in a single book is vital to language fluency, growth and development. I know my students will enjoy all the work and learning the curriculum provides each week with the book of the week!

Each week our classroom community of scholars will get totally submersed in a good book following the Rooted in Reading curriculum and learning will be expanded to soaring heights and greater depths!
