Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are faced with several challenges in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, they still come to school everyday to learn! However, my students have so many negative classroom and school experiences and it is my goal to bring back engagement in the classroom. From the minute they walk into my classroom, I focus on their potential, growth, and dedication while they are with me. I focus on the people they will become and I am aware of all the challenges they face and want to do everything I can to help them! I want to make sure these children stay in school and become successful adults!
My Project
Imagine a classroom that inspires creativity and success daily. After attending the Get Your Teach On National Conference, that's all that I could think about! When I got back, I immediately went to work on coming up with creative and engaging ideas to bring to life for the upcoming school year! With that, I came up with the materials in this project.
With the materials in this project, I will be creating various room transformations such as Jurassic Park and Candy Land.
All materials will be used to create room transformations throughout the entire school year to create rigorous, yet engaging activities for students to partake in! This can be used across all content areas and for multiple different learning activities!
