This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As Earth Day is approaching our class has been discussing ways to help our planet. We have had debates at what we can do NOW to help our planet. Our class came up with the idea to create recycling spots around our school site. Using round desks and tubs around the school campus to collect items that can be recycled. Our class is making a schedule to take the tubs to the different recycling centers that are appropriate for the items they are collecting. The students are learning about how to help our planet and responsibility of taking care of the school recycling centers they are creating. Our goal is to see that even a small action can make a big difference.
