Help me give my students cleaning supplies, individual boxes for sanitary supplies, and virtual resources to have a germ free and engaging blended learning environment!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a student-centered classroom that is excited to take large leaps this school year! A typical day in my classroom revolves around hands-on activities and exploration for students to engage and grow independently.
My classroom is an integrated co-teaching setting, where 50% of the students have special needs and 100% come from a Title I community (100% of our students are free or reduced-price lunch.)
Our students are very motivated and hard-working, which makes coming to work every day an exciting adventure. As a very ethnically diverse school in New York City, our students have a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. Our students have a thirst for learning, and I aim to provide each child with the tools they need to be successful!
My Project
This school year students will require unique supports to have a successful blended learning environment! My classroom will be split into two cohorts, where students will physically engage in the classroom and from home.
Whether live teaching over Zoom or hands on in the room, students need these resources for a successful and safe school year!
Help give my students the cleaning supplies they need to maintain cleanliness for healthy and happy learning. Individual pencil boxes will be used for students to maintain their own materials. Students will have their own hand sanitizer, erasers and dry erase markers to engage in learning outside of the typical paper pencil method. Laminated resources will be made to help students follow safety guidelines and engage in literacy or math activities. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase virtual resources for students to learn from home.
