Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth grade students are today's scholars and tomorrow's leaders who are curious, enthusiastic, creative, and eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge! In addition to academics, my students practice making positive human connections with daily choices that support R.I.S.E.—Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Excellence, and they are recognized monthly for demonstrating these character traits.

Attending the Ron Clark Academy has been a dream of mine for nearly a decade, and I am thrilled that this opportunity is available!

“Ron Clark Academy (RCA) professional development conferences are interactive, immersive learning experiences where teachers have the opportunity to observe classes and participate in dynamic workshops on how to ignite a passion for learning, provide meaningful support, encourage academic excellence, foster authentic relationships, and ensure a climate and culture where all students thrive. All conferences will take place in person over a two day period at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.”

Attending RCA has been a dream of mine ever since hearing from several colleagues about how engaging and energizing the workshops are. I look forward to bringing back fresh ideas to share with my school’s staff and implementing strategies that not only encourage excellence in all our students, but also strengthen their mental health. My goal is to help create classroom practices that promote confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging, while providing students with the support and tools they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Thank you so VERY much for your consideration and support in making this dream come true for this teacher, her students, and our school community. I am extremely appreciative!
