My Students
As a first year ELA/Social Studies teacher, it's my goal to provide my students with the necessary materials to enhance their academic abilities and facilitate their comprehension. I have a diverse group of students from military families that need a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. My students are faced with many challenging circumstances that pertain to military life including family separation, transitions, and other life changing events, which ultimately have an impact on students' academic performance.
My students love learning and flourish when given the opportunity to try new things.
I believe in providing them with a safe place to grow and giving them all the necessary resources to accomplish this!
My Project
These classic board games which include Payday, Monopoly, and The Game of Life will be used to introduce my students to the world of finances. Students need more enjoyable and interesting ways to learn about financial literacy and these games will facilitate that.
Children are never to young to learn effective money making and saving skills, while also having fun doing it!
This project will allow me to provide students with engaging, fun activities that also teach a life lesson, that money is not freely given but earned. This will give each student the opportunity to practice real world financial situations in a collaborative and enjoyable format!
