Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We have a large student body. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with a majority of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is an ethnically diverse school in the Bronx. Students come from many ethnic backgrounds including Spanish, African, Arabic, Asian and Indian. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their learning as well.

My Project
My students need to have the ability to see charts and posters during lessons to help engage them in their learning, as well as the use of the whiteboard, especially for math lessons! The vibrant colored dry erase markers help keep students engaged, and the Post-it chart paper is conveniently reusable to display charts in any part of the room.
The whiteboard/easel also is on wheels, allowing us to space apart and use in different parts of the room for small group learning!
Being able to wheel the whiteboard closer to where students are seated would be very helpful since we can no longer group together on the rug because of social distancing.
