This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My tk's and kindergarteners represent a sign of hope for a positive future. My students come from diverse backgrounds which include families with socioeconomical disadvantages, foster care, and homelessness. When you enter my classroom, you are greeted by warmth and a community where students enter feeling safe to be themselves and ready to learn.

Fulton kinders are enthusiastic, curious, and passionate to expand their knowledge about the world around them.

My busy kinders need a learning environment where they are provided a vast array of tools and materials to encourage exploration, collaboration, and problem solving.

My Project

STEM education is vital even with the youngest of learners. It creates a pathway for students to become critical thinkers and doers. With the ramps & balls exploration set, I will design lessons to meet the NGSS engineering design standard by engaging students with this fun manipulative. Students will question and make observations about a simple problem, as well as test and experiment.

Students transform into thinkers and doers with this set by exploring and designing their own ramps!

We would be so appreciative with this set for providing more meaningful opportunities for collaboration with peers through hands-on inquiry based learning.
