My Project
This fall, I will be starting at a brand-new school, and I’m excited to create a well-organized, student-centered classroom from day one. In order to do that, I’m requesting a few utility carts and sets of plastic storage drawers to help establish a system where students know exactly where to find and return materials. Starting fresh gives me a great opportunity to set up routines and expectations that help students feel confident, responsible, and ready to learn.
These carts and drawers will hold essential supplies like writing paper, scrap paper for math work, glue sticks, pencils, scissors, and more.
Having designated spots for materials not only keeps the room neat, but also empowers students to access what they need independently. This kind of organization builds executive functioning skills, supports smooth transitions, and makes every minute of learning time count.
