My Students
I have the pleasure of working with wonderfully motivated students every day! Our school is a Title I school located in the center of our city. Although they enjoy music at school, many do not have the opportunity at home to further their experiences outside of the classroom.
My students are motivated to learn and enjoy the challenges and rewards of making music as much as we can.
I want to give them every opportunity and experience that I can.
My Project
I am lucky to see each of my music classes once per week. Unfortunately, classes are not as long as I would wish. this means that we want to get in as much learning and participation time as possible.
We don't want to waste a single minute for setting up!
When we are going to be playing our Orff instruments (xylophones and metallophones) it often takes a long time to set them up, which takes away from playing time.
Having more rolling Orff instrument stands in the music room will definitely cut back on wasted time, giving students more hands on time.
