This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project may seem out of the ordinary, but I do think these materials serve an important purpose. As I was purchasing a small cooler for a field trip last night, I thought about how wonderful it would be to have 2 quality coolers on campus for teachers to use for their field trips and other school activities. Our student lunches (including milk) must be transported in a cooler whenever a class goes on a field trip. These coolers and ice packs could be kept at school and used by all of the grade levels in our elementary building. They could be used over and over each year. It would make such a difference to have these items readily available. It would be also great to be able to focus on all of the other aspects of field trip prep (and know that the coolers and ice are always ready to use).
