My students are so smart and creative. I teach at a Title I school. Many students receive free breakfast and lunch. Their families are barely getting by and can not afford school supplies for the classroom. These students love to learn. I want to help them reach their goals and build the confidence needed for an amazing future. My school is rated a "B." I want to help my school become an "A" by giving my students resources to increase their math and reading skills.
My Project
My students love to sit in my library area while learning multiplication facts and participating in group work. However; only so many students can sit there at one time. I would like to provide my students with an additional carpet area in front of the classroom.
My students will feel like rock stars when I roll out the red carpet by providing them with a carpet area for learning.
Students stay in the classroom for endless hours. It is difficult for students to sit in their seats without roaming the room.
By implementing a carpet area in the front of the room, I not only provide an alternative place for learning. I provide a place for students with visual impairments to see the board more clearly during instruction.
