Role Playing and Creative Materials for Our Students

Help me give my students role playing and imaginative materials to help them learn and grow. Students can use role playing materials with guidance to continue growing with interpersonal skills, which is especially needed after our virtual year.

My Students

Our students matter. Our students are readers and explorers. Their excitement to read engaging books is clear. They also love to make and create. Our students are artists. They are very active. We want to give our students opportunities to authentically share their learning. Our student population is diverse. Our population breakdown is 26.7% African American, 26.3% Hispanic/Latino, 30.8% White, and 11.5% two or more races. 63.4% of our students are economically disadvantaged. 12.4% of our students have disabilities. 26.1% of our students have limited English proficiency. Students in kindergarten and first grade learn half their day in English and half of their day in Spanish.

Our students are very active, intelligent, creative, and determined.

Each year, we will add another grade of dual language immersion (DLI) classes until there is at least one section of DLI within each grade level. Finally, we are a nationally recognized Welcoming School, and we intentionally teach ally behavior especially by supporting the LGBT community and individuals.

My Project

Materials on this list include role playing materials to support interpersonal skills, which is highly needed after our virtual year. Teachers are modeling interpersonal skills daily in the classroom and students will use these materials to work together and practice these skills. I have also included materials that support students' development in art which gives students a place to shine outside of their regular academics.

Materials here will help students have a joyful school year and feel valued.

Bracelets materials are also included here which all genders enjoy! Students can leave with something beautiful and have pride that they created! Let's help our children love school!
