This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A majority of students in my classroom come from hard working low income households. Many of my parents struggle with providing basic needs much less books and good literature. In my classroom students have access to books, but lack a variety of books that match their reading level.

My students love to read.

I give them many opportunities in class to read for "fun." They get so empowered when they complete a book and can't wait to pick up the next one! Please help me foster their love of reading.

My Project

I've have selected a wide range of book levels for my students' to enjoy. My library lacks specific levels of reading books that I have added to this donation. By giving the students' more variety they can practice reading strategies taught in class.

The classroom is sometimes the only place my students get to see and interact with a selection of text at their reading level or interest.

They will become better readers through practice, thus better students overall. By funding this project, you will help many students for many years to come because they will have had good books to read.
