Help me give my students laptops. I have students at home with no technology at all and they are unable to participate in my remote school classroom during this time of shelter-in in NYC.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Wow, where to begin? My students are kind, hard-working, intelligent, gifted, sensitive, explorers...everything you'd want 9 year olds to be.
They live and learn in a low-income neighborhood that loves and supports children and education.
My parents want what they didn't have as children and they work unbelievably hard to give their children opportunity.
My students are truly rock stars! They never complain about wanting and are humble and happy every day - well, 6/7.
Thank you, in advance, for considering my students to donate to.
My Project
Out of the 28 students in my class, 5 are without technology and are on their own for education.
They need laptops to continue their education since the NYC public schools are closed.
I am teaching lessons through Google Classroom and without access to technology, they cannot continue their learning. Since this pandemic began, teachers and students have been working really hard to remain connected, not only academically, but emotionally as well. Technology is the way to do this right now.
I care about my students tremendously and I need to get them help. Thank you so very much!
