Rocks and Mineral Student Exploration Sets

Help me give my students a true hands-on experience with the properties of rocks and minerals with testing kits! Bring joy, excitement, and a love of science to our school!

My Project

Sixth grade students are eager to learn and explore! Their learning is so much richer and deeper when they have their hands on materials and are doing real scientific discovery and exploration. The goal of this project is to get them real samples and testing kits to truly understand the amazing truths about rocks and minerals!

Taking the learning from texts and videos into real samples that can be held and manipulated will strengthen their curiosity, engagement, and joy about science.

This project will help sixth graders to truly begin their science learning journey with joy.
