Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are scientists. Our students are mathematicians. Our students are readers and authors. Our students are explorers. Our students make discoveries each and every day.

Being comfortable is the BEST way to learn!

Who wants to be uncomfortable and then try to absorb information? Books, and the connections made by readers, are what allows us to be scientists, mathematicians, authors, explorers, and more!

It is our mission to provide our students with a challenging and inquiry-based STEM curriculum to maximize individual potential and ensure that our students succeed in a globally community.

Our goal is to expose students to many learning opportunities that will prepare them for the future, all while bringing to the forefront ideas and concepts that they may not have considered before.

Our school is a place filled with family. Not only do we serve and have families that entrust us with their children, we have our own family. This family includes our classroom families, our school community family, and our family of staff. We consider each day as an opportunity to learn something new and support our family members in their path to the future.

My Project

These rocking chairs will add to our flexible seating options in our classroom. They are sturdy and kid friendly, which is always nice in a school setting! Allowing students the chance to choose a set in which they are successful is, in part, what makes my classroom unique. Students are able to pick a seat and a place that works best for their individual learning style. Adding these rocking chairs to our mix will all not only more seats to choose from, but a new movement that some of my students need to focus their minds during learning time. Thank you for considering our project!
