My Students

Imagine a small rural school with sweet southern charm. I don't have to imagine it, because it's my reality at my school. We are a rural Title I school. We are small, but we are definitely mighty. We have an awesome staff that truly strives to do our best for our amazing students. All of these people work together to provide our superstar students with the best possible education. We are a school of motivated dreamers! We make our dreams come true. Our students react to this awesome leadership in the most wonderful ways. Our students have become dreamers as well. They realize that they can do anything they set their minds to. They have the courage to follow their dreams because they feel supported by their teachers. Our students come from all different homes, backgrounds, and situations. We strive to give our students the same opportunities that larger more financially able schools do. I use my own money as well as all of my state supply money (which isn't much) to purchase school supplies, books, and innovative STEM and robotics materials. We don't have much but we make the best of what we have.

My Project

Our school was blessed to be able to purchase school supplies for our K-3 students this year. This took a huge burden off of the parents. Remote and virtual learning is a new adventure for all of us. I want to make sure that my students have a comfortable remote learning setup at home so that they can be productive and successful in this new adventure. Several of my students already have a great set up at home. Unfortunately some families can not afford these extras. I want to bless these families with these remote learning supplies so that ALL of my students can be successful. I love them dearly and I want this experience to be a positive one for everyone.
