My Project
The rock sets and sifters will be used to create mining bags for students to mine in a sluice box that was handmade for these little learners! These supplies will be perfect for our project-based learning experience in first grade.
Both first-grade classes will be learning about the materials found on the surface of Earth, including rocks and minerals, soil, and other natural resources.
This project includes reading, writing, research, hands-on experiences, and a field trip at the end to make real-world connections to what they are learning.
