My Students

My 3rd grade students live in rural O`ahu in the state of Hawai`i. We are a small Title 1 school that has been fortunate to conduct face to face classes. My students are a loving and energetic group and they have been very understanding about social distancing. They care about their families, friends and community and have been doing their part in keeping them safe.

My Project

"Please stop tipping your chair!" I say this to several students at least once a day. But honestly, I feel for them, it's difficult having to remain seated because your chair is marked off at 6 feet from your classmates. A physical outlet like recess just isn't as fun this year when students have to maintain social distancing from their friends.

With school so different this year, the Wobble Chairs will help my active students release their pent up energies and help them maintain focus.

The Wobble Chairs are also so much safer than students tipping their chairs.
