Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from a school that is committed to providing an educational foundation that prepares each one to be a productive, socially responsible citizen and a lifelong learner. The close-knit community of families and the school’s highly educated faculty work collaboratively to provide an environment that fosters each child’s development and success.

What I love about my students is their hunger to learn about how things work.

I'm really excited to see how fast they learn from their successes and failures.

Our kiddos have been really rocking it out on the recorder this year! As they continue with their progress, they have begun to do team and independent work which builds musicianship and social skills. We will be doing small performances at our upcoming Recorder & Ukulele festival this month, and grade-level performances soon as well. Having these recorders will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but on the concert stage as well.

Sometimes recorders need to be replaced for various reasons, or new students coming in will require one for class. These recorders will play many roles in our music program for years to come. I'm excited to see more students benefiting from this program at school.
