My Project

My classroom could use some new rugs. Some of our rugs are coming apart at the seams and they are ugly from lots of ware. Hard floors and walls tend to echo when there's a lot of commotion inside a busy classroom. In order to help buffer the noise and make the room feel quieter, even amongst the chaos we need more rugs. Students want to feel warm and safe at school and having rugs in the classroom provides a comfortable place for them to be while playing in centers. The rugs define the specific play center. Without them the children would mix the centers together and it would be very confusing to them. Rugs help the classroom feel more home-like and less harsh and cold, causing the students to feel safe and happy.
