My students are incredibly caring and motivated.
They love to laugh, play, and learn. They cherish opportunities to collaborate and read together. Currently, my students have formed two book clubs where they read and discuss with one another. We are also lucky enough to have a beautiful garden outside the classroom, in which the students love to read. Unfortunately, sometimes the ground is too muddy or the grass is too irritating to sensitive skin. With these amazing new carpet squares to sit on, we will be able to comfortably read outside, in our peaceful garden.
My Project
Can you imagine the look of excitement on my students faces when they see the plush new carpet squares to sit on, instead of the muddy, scratchy grass? Feeling the warm sun on their skin and a gentle breeze fluttering the pages of their new book…
I want to inspire a love of reading in all of my students.
Having comfortable seating in a serene environment like the garden, is going to help immensely with that.
We need these carpet squares in order to read together comfortably outside. Some of my students have grass allergies and are forced to read inside to avoid the itchy red bumps that the grass causes all over their legs. I want us all to be able to read together in a peaceful environment.
