Our amazing Coyote Choir is made up of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students who choose to stay after school for weekly rehearsals. We started with 24 students and now there are 90 exuberant singers in the ensemble! All are welcome and there is no fee to participate.
We are growing a life-long love of singing at our school, and we need your help to take our program to the next level!
Coyote Choir takes field trips to bring music to our community. We need a portable PA that children can move and manage when performing. Our current PA weighs more than 60 pounds - much too heavy for a child to move around! This new PA system is light, simple to setup, and easy to run (perfect for 10-year-old "roadies").
This project includes an external mixer, which will support up to four additional soloists. With our current system, I can only plug in two mics at a time (meaning a lot of shared mic holding for soloists - not ideal for anyone). Expanding and improving soloist opportunities through technology is my goal for the additional equipment. Plus, it will be significantly easier for me to control sound during performances with this mixer!
As an added bonus, we can use the PA and mixer in our auditorium for grade-level performances throughout the year. This system will enhance our current sound setup, adding more mics for students and providing me with the ability to control everything through the mixer. Delightful!
