Help me give my students the supplies needed to give all students in Stage Band an opportunity to perform! We need an electric guitar pack, which will enable more students to learn in class, as well as an electronic drum set monitor.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was quoted saying, "Music is the universal language of mankind." My students come from very diverse backgrounds and are all united through music by playing instruments together. This year, we started a new exploratory class for band students, called Stage Band.
Most students in the class have never seen a guitar before, but now will have the opportunity to play one!
Students in Stage Band will learn traditional rock band instruments, including: guitar, bass guitar, drum set, piano, and vocals. Students start by learning FigureNotes notation (colors), before progressing to written music and tablature.
The class started out as only a handful of students, but has since exploded in size!
My Project
Since the class has doubled in size, we need more instruments and equipment for more students to have the opportunity to learn! Currently, students are sharing instruments or rotating songs. With another guitar, microphone, and electronic drum set monitor, all students will have the chance to shine!
These extra instruments and supplies will enable more students to participate and perform.
The group of enthusiastic students also wants to take their hard work and practice on the road and have the opportunity to perform for others. This equipment will allow them to perform as a group and showcase their talents to the community. This will help students gain confidence and promote team work.
