Help me give my students littleBits Electronic Music Inventor Kits. Students will have the opportunity to build and customize a synth guitar using littleBits electronic building blocks, then transform it into new electronic instruments.
My students are very creative and love the opportunity to perform in the music classroom and in the community. The students have the opportunity each week to create music with orff instruments, piano, and ukuleles.
They love to be challenged and know how to work together to create exciting group projects.
The student have access to ChromeBooks and have enjoyed creating music using code and other digital formats. The use of littleBits would take the music creation to another level and enable the students to create instruments as well as music.
With the use of the littleBits inventor kits, students will build and customize a rockin’ synth guitar using littleBits electronic building blocks, then transform it into new electronic instruments of their own!
The students will build one of 12 musical inventions like an electric keytar or air drums, and then have the opportunity to create their own instruments.
Through hands-on play, students will gain lifelong skills to become changemakers through invention. There is a new field and need for digital music creators in many different workplaces. Working with littleBits to create music will give our students an advantage in this new aspect of music creation.
