This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredible young boys and girls who have shown a great love of music this year. Many of my students are flourishing in ways I never imagined possible! I have students who typically have behavioral issues who are falling in love with the guitar and are making positive changes due to their dedication to learning their new instrument. My students have been able to relate back to their individual culture by taking these instruments home and have their parents share some of their favorite songs that they know how to play- if they know how to play! Other students have been trying to learn songs in Spanish so that they can sing to their parents. The guitar is changing their lives for the better!
