My Project

Growing up, I always had a rock in my pocket. Come to think of it, even now, I seem to find a cool rock at the beach or on a hike—something about them is just fascinating! Kids feel the same way, often picking up a shiny, smooth, or unusual rock and wondering where it came from. This natural curiosity makes learning about rocks, the Earth's crust, and volcanoes even more exciting. Rocks tell the story of our planet’s past, from ancient fossils to the forces that shape mountains.

By reading books about rocks, the Earth's crust, and volcanoes, students can turn their natural wonder into knowledge and appreciation for the incredible planet beneath their feet.

Volcanoes and the Earth's crust add even more excitement to the mix! Learning about tectonic plates, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions helps kids understand the powerful forces shaping our world. It also encourages awareness and safety, especially for those living in areas prone to these natural events. Plus, diving into these topics sparks curiosity and inspires kids to explore science, ask big questions, and maybe even dream of careers in geology or volcanology. As always, my goals is to have our students dream big. And what better way to do so is to provide them the hands-on materials to do so!
