My Students

My students are risk takers, kind, empathetic and a joy to be around daily. They are resilient and love to learn in different ways. They are the American dream. Most of my students are either immigrants or first generation Americans.

We are a Title One school where we speak eight different languages.

Our classroom represents cultures from around the world. My students take risks daily to close their learning gaps and have a desire to become fluent in the English language and meet grade level standards.

My Project

My class loves to read and grow. They are passionate about all different types of subjects and it is hard to keep my bookshelves stocked with books that reflect all their interests. These books will fill the student bookshelves for them to put in their book boxes.

Books foster the love of reading and they help children grow!

They love reading about superheros and different animals. When students are engaged with their reading, their phonics improve. When students are interested in what they are reading, they develop new language skills as well as build on their comprehension. These books are engaging and fun!
