My students are unique learners. Their challenges are numerous and include homelessness. Nevertheless, they are excited about developing new ideas in our music classroom. It's our goal to expand their musical experiences and go above and beyond supporting their needs.
In our music classroom, our scholars really strive to be musicians, singers, leaders, performers, readers, composers, creators, explorers, teammates, etc.
Within three years of teaching my scholars, music has helped develop growth in every area of the curriculum. Music is a tool to teach all subjects in fun ways. I am so honored to provide the best musical education all of our scholars.
My Project
Each year it is my goal to create a fun, engaging, musical atomosphere for all students. Our theme for next year is "Rock It!" We will create songs and dances to correspond with our theme.
Next year, it will be awesome if our learners are able to learn about instruments as they pretend play or play along with the inflatable instruments.
The instruments will also be used to decorate our music classroom.
Each month, a class representing each grade earns the music achievement award. We celebrate with pops however, it will be great if added incentives are included along with games played.
