My Students
My students at my high school are very special people who have already endured such hardships in their young lives, they are the most resilient people I know. Many of my students have immigrated from war torn countries, refugee camps and foreign countries. My students are hard workers, fast learners and they deserve the best that I can give them.
The student population at my school is very diverse, we have students from 15 different countries and there are 20 different languages.
Along with the students from different countries we also have American students that have the opportunity to bond with students who are culturally different then themselves. My school offers an experience that no other school can match.
My Project
Growing up can be scary for my students many of them feel like they have to do it on their own, without help and without a support system. I want this rock climbing experience to build my student's confidence, improve their problem solving skills and introduce a new workout! I want to provide my students an opportunity to get out of their comfort zone in a safe and controlled environment. Rock climbing is an extension of my physical education class and an opportunity that not every high school student gets to experience. I am excited and proud that with your help I will able to bring this opportunity to my school!
