This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunch. Resources are limited, but desire is high. In order for these students to compete with their peers, they need to have access to technology and experiences that they are not able to get from home. It is vital that my students are prepared to face the challenges that life will throw at them and not only survive, but be successful.

My curious, enthusiastic, and resilient learners are yearning for the opportunity to show everyone that they have what it takes to change the world.

In our classroom, we are a family. We push each other to be our best and provide support when necessary. We look to better our community by focusing on a different community service project each month. We know that "none of us is as strong as all of us."

My Project

Children today are being prepared for a future that does not exist yet. Technology has revolutionized our way of being. Fast food restaurants have started moving towards computerized cashiers. Driverless cars are delivering pizza. Students no longer need to memorize information because it is sitting at their fingertips only a return key away. The world needs students who can communicate, collaborate, critical think, and have a mind for creativity.

By donating to our project, you are helping underserved students learn to solve real-world problems using robotics.

Students will strengthen their coding knowledge, practice 21st-century skills, and acquire abilities that they can use to create our world's future.
