Improving Access to Technology for Students with Special Needs

The "Robots and Drones Oh My" grant aims to provide students with special needs the opportunity to engage in technology-related electives.

Oftentimes, students receiving support across various service areas miss out on the enjoyable aspects of school.

Students with disabilities should be considered as general education students first and should have equal access to elective opportunities. Despite potential learning challenges, my students demonstrate determination by diligently completing every assignment to the best of their abilities.

It is crucial to create engaging learning experiences for these students. By introducing robots and drones into the curriculum, students can delve deeper into STEM topics while developing essential skills such as following instructions, teamwork, and accountability. Your contribution can truly transform the lives of these students.
