My 4th and 5th grade students are very enthusiastic about coding and robotics. I am a 4th grade teacher teaching coding and robotics in my classroom and run an after school coding and robotics club. My students have come up with some very clever programs. I am sure with more tools, their creativity would soar.
Coding and robotics is a great motivator in the classroom.
As a teacher, it is always nice to see your students deeply engaged in a project and persevere, using problem solving techniques, to correct any problems with their code, by testing their code on a robot.
My Project
These materials will allow me to expand my robotics education program at our school. Our students enjoy coding projects and watching the robots carry out their programs.
The iPads will allow my students mobility when running their coding projects with their robots.
Having a variety of robots to use, gives the students voice and choice when completing a project. Have the WEdo 2 Lego kits allow the students to build and design their robot, or machine, before coding it.
Having these additional supplies will enable my students more time practicing their coding skills with these robots. Thank you for your consideration.
