Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are fun, energetic, curious, and loving. My students are bilingual, learning English as their second language. I am a bilingual teacher in Title 1 district school, 84.5% of our students are economically disadvantage. My students receive free or reduced price lunch. I am looking forward to teaching a new group of students this year. This will be their first year of school for my students ranging in the age of four- and five-years old.
I love my students and they deserve all the advantages and resources available to them to enhance their learning that otherwise they would not have available to them.
My goal every day is that my students have fun, enjoy to learn new things and that we are a school family our possibilities are endless.
My Project
My school is a STEM campus and we are integrating technology to enhance student learning. Technology has become an important tool in teaching our students in a fun and meaningful way. This project will allow my students the opportunity to use robotics in the classroom.
The use of robotic Bee Bots will allow my students to use critical thinking to plan ahead where they want to move their bots.
Bee bots will allow my students to collaborate and work together to problem solve. My goal is to integrate bee bots in math, science, language arts, and social studies. My Pre-K students will have tasks that will require the use of the Bee Bot mats. For example one task in language arts will be to use the Bee Bots to move to an assign letter of the alphabet. My students will have to discuss the steps they need to do to accomplish task.
Please help me make this project a reality for my students and provide them the opportunity of using robotics in the classroom.
