My students need two Dash Dot Learn to Code robots to develop their coding and robotics skills and become 21st century learners!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In addition to being a brilliant group of kids, the students in my afterschool STEM club are bursting with creativity. Help us find ways to harness today’s technology in ways that would allow all of them to explore robotics and coding and also express what they have learned in their own unique way!
My afterschool STEM club students have limited resources, but possess unlimited potential.
All of my students qualify for and receive free lunch. However, in our after school STEM club, this is not what defines them. My students are all unique and brilliant, every one in their own way. Each has their own distinctive way of understanding and expressing what they learn. Our school is filled with amazing artists, fantastic writers, talented mathematicians, brilliant scientists and wonderful storytellers. As a teacher, I want to provide as many opportunities for my students to utilize today’s technology as a tool to assist them in their learning.
My Project
The students in my after-school STEM club are problem-solvers, curious, and innovative. Students range from 3rd to 6th grade. The Dash Dot robots will provide the younger, 3rd grade students with a more easily accessible introduction to robotics and basic coding skills. The OWI 3-in-1 RC Robot will provide older students the chance to creating a robot and discover the challenges of taking it through various challenges. Using the Amazon Echo Dot and AdventureBot, advanced students in our after-school STEM club will be challenged with the task of combining coding and developing voice commands to program the AdventureBot to complete various tasks. Regardless of their robotics or coding skills, because of your donation, all students will develop their 21st century skills as well as gain a sense of accomplishment. All of my students need to be given the chance to work with materials and tools that will help them develop their problem solving skills and promote their curiosity.
By donating to our projects, you will help our after-school STEM club students push the boundaries of their learning and curiosity.
Most of the students at our school are brilliant and work extremely hard. They also lack many technological resources at home. We will use the donated materials in our after school STEM club to develop coding and robotics skills, as well as promoting collaborative learning and problem solving skills!
