My Students

ALL of our students, grades K-5, are eager and enthusiastic learners who bring a smile and loads of energy to school everyday. They are willing to take risks, give 100% of their effort and they are always excited to try and learn something new. Our students also think about and practice positive character traits every day.

They love using technology as a tool to help their learning in all content areas whether it's using an ipad to practice math facts, a computer in the lab to do research or a Chromebook to help with writing.

In today's world, all students need computer science and computational thinking skills.

My Project

Our students need to use and access technologies to practice their coding skills, solve problems and create projects. We want them to take their ideas, bring them to a drawing board and then to a finished project. Ozobots give students a little robot that they can learn how to program using magic markers or an iPad. They then have a little friend with them as they build their math and reading skills, solve problems and watch their coding skills come to life.

This class kit of Ozobots will be available for all teachers to sign out and use in their classrooms!

Students participating in the after-school Math and Robotics Club will use the little robots on a weekly basis.

Students can code and then observe the Ozobots' behavior as it moves around, changes color and does whatever else they have coded it to do.

They can follow it along a story path they've created to retell a story they just read. They can write down the random one digit numbers it drives over and practice their fact fluency, make multi-digit numbers and/or place those numbers on a number line. They can use an iPad to use block coding to program the Ozobot to travel around a piece of paper as if it were going on errands to the post office, grocery store and then back home.
