My students need one Ozobot classroom kit to assist with learning how to program robots. The classroom kit comes with enough materials to teach a class of 36 students.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is very active and energetic. Students are coming in single file and pulling out their materials for the day. They are excited for what the day has in store for science.
Our school is an extremely high poverty area with generational poverty.
Over 90% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. They are working towards enhancing our school environment by making it their home away from home. Students come from many ethic and cultural backgrounds.
My Project
Our students recently began a robotics club and fell in love. However, we do not have enough robotic kits to educate more than 10 to 15 students total. This Ozobot kit will give over 120 students the ability to learn about robotics and how to program them. Students will learn how to use block coding to move robots around without being controller driven. They will even be able to program their robots to complete complex tasks and compete in games to make it engaging for all students.
Our students are below the poverty line and do not know what its like on the other side.
Through this project students can gain access to the outside word. My goal is to show students fun and engaging ways to make it to the other side of the poverty line.
