Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are 99% Hispanic, and over 90% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Many of them are aiming to become the first in their family to go to college.

These students are hardworking and loving, and they are looking for a chance to excel.

They are appreciative and know that we must all work together to be successful in our pursuits. They have a strong sense of worth and want to spread this sense of worth throughout their community through positive actions and deeds.

My Project

We have been running a robotics club for the past 5 years. The time has come for us to move on to a competition phase. This phase will allow us to participate in VEX IQ Competitions. We are looking to purchase the practice field to simulate competition conditions.

Upon purchasing the VEX IQ Competition Squared Away Field, students will be able to simulate competition conditions.

This will allow students who participate in our robotics club to thrive while working in teams. They enjoy working together and build on each other's ideas. This field will give us the opportunity to simulate competition conditions to give our students a fair shot at success.
