This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This initiative aims to establish a robotics club for my English as a New Language (ENL) students, both after school and during regular school hours. Robotic clubs are renowned for their immersive and practical approach to learning. Engaging in hands-on activities provides students with the unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, thereby deepening their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts.

The robotics kits we build in the robotics club are designed to challenge students with complex problems.

This intentional design fosters critical thinking and hones problem-solving skills as students collaborate to overcome obstacles in the design, construction, and programming of robots. The iterative nature of these projects emphasizes the importance of learning from mistakes and continuously improving, contributing to the development of a growth mindset among participants.
