This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are more than where they come from or where they live. My students have more potential than I ever imagined my classroom would have.
They are dreamers, they are team players, they are hard working and more than any of those, they are inspiring.
Many of my students have hardworking parents who work late and many siblings to take care of before they even start to think about taking care of themselves. They are talented and motivated but just need a little more support to reach their full potential.
My Project
These prizes will be used for incentives for a Robotics club! These spirit sticks will be used to help my students who join our free after school robotics club feel like a part of a special group and get some rewards for working hard after school.
They have never had clubs before at school and I wanted to the be more involved by trying to get some swag for our club.
Each student will get a robot spirit stick when they join and try to earn more by completing computer science and coding tasks with robots!
