Help me give my students the opportunity to explore their love of robotics.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Stone's classroom raised $1,062

My Students
Our STEM program believes in furthering student understanding of STEM concepts beyond the classroom. Our program has a special focus on cultural diversity, direct family engagement, gender equity, and access to programming for all students.
These are the future leaders, innovators, and coders of the robotics industry.
Our students are interested in hands-on STEM investigations, applying their knowledge beyond the classroom and problem solving with peers to solve challenges. Our students engage in STEM programming during Saturday morning sessions that are open to all students. As a result of participating in our programming, 100% of students will produce a final project, and 100% of students will demonstrate increased STEM knowledge in pre and post surveys. In addition to increasing student achievement and engagement in the learning process, our students will increase their self-esteem and collaboration with peers in a supportive nurturing environment that fosters creativity and imagination. By supporting our project with high interest materials, donors will help us provide valuable experiences with coding and engineering through robotics.
My Project
These donations will extend the learning day and are designed for students to deepen their understanding of STEM concepts through Lego WeDo 2.0 Robotics. Our specific mission is to promote 21st century thinking skills through direct involvement with students and their families. The resources purchased will enable students to learn engineering and scientific practices through direct engagement with Lego WeDo 2.0 Robotics. The content learned in these units will directly align with current Next Generation Science Standards, while giving students the opportunity to collaborate with peers in the problem solving process. For example, our students will be designing and engineering robots as they prepare for intuitive career choices in the future. These donations will provide our students with opportunities to expand their thinking and connections to the world around them.
Our program engages students with reality based programming, opportunities to explore computer science, and use their knowledge in project based learning.
Our program not only increases student achievement, but it increases student engagement in school and provides opportunities for learning tracks based upon personal interest.
