We need a class set of Arduino Unos and Nanos along with the necessary sensors and extension components to engage students with electrical design, robotics and coding.

About My Students
I am very excited about this project because Joshua, along with a number of his peers, have shown a lot of interest in coding and robotics ever since they began in my technology class this year.
Many students have shown interest in learning to code during the course of this year. While many introductory level APPs and websites revolving around coding exist, Joshua felt that we needed a more hands-on experience when he observed me tinkering with my Arduino Uno board between classes. After we discussed the possibilities that we could achieve using these boards, Joshua decided that we needed a class set and set about writing this project.
Using the Arduino, students have the opportunity to learn basic coding skills as they apply to real electronic circuits, sensors and robotics. Through guided activities, students will be able to create real-life connections between code that they have written and electrical and mechanical functions they assign.
In Their Own Words
The goal that I am trying to accomplish is for students to work in teams to design and create their own robots using different sensors. With this project, we can use skills from math, science, technology and social studies.
I will help by creating robots for the school with my classmates. I will help by treating the equipment with respect and students will have to keep their Arduinos in cabinets that are assigned to them.
This project is important because it helps us practice skills from science, English, social studies, math and technology. Students have to work together and they will learn how to build real robots!
