it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The marker extensions for the KIBO robots will take our robotics lessons to a whole new level by allowing my students to combine creativity with computational thinking. These extensions will let students program the KIBO to draw, creating tangible, artistic outputs that showcase the connection between coding and art. This hands-on experience will deepen their understanding of sequencing, loops, and debugging while providing a creative outlet to visualize their learning. It will also make STEM more engaging and accessible for students who love art, broadening their interest in computer science and robotics.
The main goal of this project is to help my students see the real-world applications of coding and robotics by integrating creativity into STEM.
By programming the KIBO robots to create artwork, students will develop problem-solving skills, spatial reasoning, and an understanding of how technology and art can work together. Additionally, this project will encourage collaboration as students work in teams to design, code, and test their robotic art ideas, fostering a love for experimentation and innovation.
