This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I am a teacher in a Title I low income school with children who are at risk from developing academic and social equality in order to develop and perform on grade level when entering kindergarten and grades beyond. In order to bridge the transition and help with the challenges the children face I want to create a STEM learning environment.
The children in my classroom lack the materials to explore and create robots and engineering opportunities.
I love the children in my classroom because they are caring and have the desire to learn. Each child brings a unique quality to the classroom. I enjoy the children because they are risk takers and support each other. This project will help to provide the children in my classroom with (STEAM) materials for hands-on experiences. This will give enriching, meaningful learning opportunities and build a great learning environment. This will improve the opportunity for the children to learn how to create and design using critical thinking skills. This will bring the opportunity to expose the children to high level learning that will increase global awareness.
The purpose of this project is to bring the world of robotics into the classroom. The materials that I am requesting will help to develop and create a world of STEM learning and exploration. The children in my classroom are dreaming of the opportunity to have hands on experiences in creating and designing. This is the true sense of robotic learning.
They will have the opportunity to learn how to use these STEAM materials that will increase global learning and lifelong learners.
The use of these materials will give my students the ultimate experiences as they learn and grow in the class.
