My Students
My students are so excited to be in school and have hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
My Project
My students love to play with robots. One of the latest sets of robots that we purchased has special building kits that go with them. However, the pieces get lost a lot and have no organization to them other than a simple reclosable bag. This project is for storage cases for the pieces so that students easily build the robots without losing any pieces.
Since the robots and pieces would all fit together in the storage cases, students can use classroom rewards that they have earned to purchase extra time with the robots during lunch times, after school, or even at home.
The students earn classroom rewards money through being ready, responsible, and respectful. They save these points to earn things like extra robot time, time with the 3D printer, or Minecraft parties. This teaches students not only to be responsible with their schoolwork, but also the value of saving money.
