My Students

This is the first year we have had a pull-out high ability program in our school. There are approximately 60 third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders participating in our program.

Each student is unique with his/her own strengths and challenges.

They are usually creative and curious. While some are sensitive to what others think, others may be confident in their own distinctive characteristics. They grasp concepts quickly and crave a problem to solve. They struggle with having high expectations of themselves and yet realizing that we all make mistakes.

My Project

There are so many ways to use coding and robots! I look forward to finding and/or creating projects in which we can use these. I feel strongly that students should learn to use technology in a constructive, creative way other than just playing games on a tablet or phone. These robots will give us many opportunities to strengthen critical thinking skills and prepare for applying those skills in future ventures. The approximately 60 students that visit my room each week will be excited to participate in activities that involve using these robots.
