Robohawks and Hawkasaurus Rex Need New Computers!

Help me give my students new Windows OS computers to run our robotics programs on. Our current laptops are outdated and are breaking down on us!

My Students

As a 5th grade teacher in a district that has a high free/reduced lunch population I have an amazing plethora of kiddos. We have 2 award winning robotics teams that have been to the Vex IQ Robotics World Championships the last two years. I am lucky to work with students from the time they are in 3rd grade all the way up to 6th.

We are using robotics to teach students vital skills they will need to be effective in the 21st century world.

Our kids work very hard every year and have brought pride and recognition to our school. Our robotics team is 100% free so that our students never have to worry about being able to afford to join. We rely on fund raising and donations to get everything we have.

My Project

Our robotics program is 100% free for our students and any students are welcome to apply and participate. We Have two teams that have earned a place at the Vex IQ World Championships 2 years in a row, and we are striving for a 3rd this year! We have one team qualified for state now and are on our way to having both ready for state!

We have been hampered by hand-me-down laptops tha are left over from our school's transition to Mac products.

We need new Windows based computers because the coding programs we use for our robots aren't compatible with Mac Operating systems.

These two new computers will allow us to code more quickly, run simulations, and design better robots for our future success.
