My Project
I am teaching a diverse group of students who are ambitious about learning but lack the resources to learn more about their culture.
I want to give them the opportunity to connect with events that have occurred in the past. These reading materials will allow them to make those connections. I plan to use these books (One Love, Black Brother, Black Brother, Hidden Figures, This is Your Time, I Believe I Can, etc.) to help students improve their reading levels. My students are always looking for opportunities to read and increase their lexile levels. We know that reading truly takes you places. Help me give my students the opportunity to understand their history.
